President Donald Trump apparently watched his predecessor’s convention speech — and wasn’t happy with it.
Former President Barack Obama offered some of his most pointed criticism of Trump yet during his remarks at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday.
Obama argued that his successor has turned the presidency into “one more reality show that he can use to get the attention he craves.”
As the ex-president delivered his speech at the viral Democratic convention, Trump issued an all-caps tweet: “HE SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN, AND GOT CAUGHT!”
Trump’s claim is not accurate; the FBI during Obama’s time in office investigated Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, and whether Trump campaign officials were involved.
No collusion was ever proven, though Trump’s anger over the investigation remains evident.

Later during the speech, Trump tweeted another all-caps complaint questioning the level of Obama’s support for current presidential candidate Joe Biden.
“WHY DID HE REFUSE TO ENDORSE SLOW JOE UNTIL IT WAS ALL OVER, AND EVEN THEN WAS VERY LATE?” Trump said. “WHY DID HE TRY TO GET HIM NOT TO RUN?”
The former president spoke fondly of his relationship with Biden while they were in office together, and him Biden as a key ally during his administration, an adviser who helped propel many of his policies forward.
“Twelve years ago when I began my search for vice president, I didn’t know I’d end up finding a brother,” he said.
“For eight years, Joe was the last one in the room whenever I faced a big decision,” Obama said. “He made me a better president — and he’s got the character and the experience to make us a better country.”
Earlier in the day, Trump responded to excerpts of Obama’s remarks that had been made public. Trump described Obama as “so ineffective, so terrible” as he offered an extended criticism of the Iran nuclear agreement intended to slow Tehran’s path to a nuclear weapons program.
“The reason I’m here is because of President Obama and Joe Biden,” he said.
